＂Theology as a way of life＂ is derived from the theme of French scholar Pierre Hadot's ＂philosophy as a way of life＂. With the help of Hadot, the origin and the development of philosophy : and theology are to be examined. Since the development of theology has a close relationship with the development of university, it is important to explore how to do theology in the context of university. David Tracy as a Catholic theologian in the context of university is to be dealt with a case study to see how he does theology at Chicago University. Since the overwhelming influence of university, it is necessary to reflect upon theological research and education under such an influence to see whether that theology as a way of life is still meaningful today.
