The Sino-Christian theology movement consists of not only the translation and introduction of Western Christian classics and modern theological works, but also the dialogue between Chinese traditional culture and Western Christian tradition, with the purpose of the inculturation of Christian religion in Chinese-speaking regions. This article explores the importance of the translation of Western philosophy for the Sino-Christian theology movement and the potentiality of the dialogue between Chinese traditional philosophy and Christianity from the perspective of the interrelation between philosophy and theology in the history of Western Christianity, particularly with examples from the discussion of Thomas Aquinas and Wolfhart Pannenberg on the doctrine of Trinity.
