我的寵物打字:心流式打字遊戲的設計與評估

My-Pet-Typing: Design and Evaluation of Flow-based Typing Game

摘要


本研究的目的為探索如何在愉悅環境中讓學童以持續打字練習之方式,提升其打字技能,因此研究奠基於心流理論以設計悅趣化打字環境,稱之為「我的寵物打字」,透過遊戲中的關卡與星等機制促使學童校準自身能力與關卡難度間的平衡,尋求其達到心流狀態以持續練習。實驗活動為期1年,共205位國小二年級學生參與。研究結果指出,大多數學童的打字能力有所提升且關卡進度配合自身打字能力而自我調節。本研究亦針對此階段性成果,對於活動及系統內容提出修正建議,並討論如何以心流經驗維持學生的打字行為。研究者亦發現學童打字速度標準建立的困難,建議進一步探討打字活動有助於學生國語文能力學習之關係。

The purpose of this study is to explore how to immerse children in the typing behavior joyfully. The game-based typing environment was designed based on flow theory, entitled My-Pet-Typing, which contained level-and star-mechanism in order to facilitate the typing skills of children and assist students to adjust the difficult level of typing. The experiment conducted with 2nd grade elementary students (n = 205) during one year. The findings indicated that students not only can increase typing speed gradually, but also could sustain the long-term typing behaviors. This study also discussed how to sustain students' typing skills based on flow theory and further found that the difficulty of constructing the standard of typing speed. The suggestion for future study was to explore the relationship between students' the typing activity and the Chinese language learning.
