摘要

徐素霞的插畫曾於1898年入選義大利波隆那國際圖畫書原作展，是臺灣第一位獲得這項殊榮的插畫家。她認為創作兒童圖畫書時最具挑戰性的是：如何將主題與畫面表現得更深刻、更獨特。要克服這些困難，必須耐心的思考和嘗試，以及充分的資料和準備。這透露了她在創作時的態度，更展現了她在圖畫書方面的專業。

Xu Su-Xia's illustrations were chosen to exhibit in Belogna Children's Book Fair in 1989, which made her to be the first one who got the special honor in Taiwan. The most challenge to create a picture book she thinks is how to perform its theme and picture plane deeply and uniquely. To overcome these difficulties must think and try patiently, and search and prepare enough data with which is concerned. What she thinks about these shows her attitude of creation and presents her professional knowledge on picture books.
