There are plentiful of natural conditions and social customs of Taiwan in works of Tzeng Ching-wen, and his works are featured for a minute description of plants and animals. Tzeng Ching-wen's Notes of A Peach-Picking Trip is a continuation of his last two children's books. In addition to rich writing of local nature and humanities, he shows his concerns about local ecology. Based on the integral ecosystem from ecocriticism, this essay first describes the relationship between nature and man in Notes of A Peach-Picking Trip. By using Tzeng Ching-wen's related works as supplement, the present essay furthers to proclaim the critique on civilization in order to aware consciousness of nature in the text and to convey the ecological aesthetic structure of ecological warning, sense of responsibility for ecology and ideal ecology.
