從宋太祖崇儒看學風之產生

From Song Tai Zu's Adoration for Confucianism to the Popular of Learning

並列摘要

The first emperor of Song Dynasty, Zhao Kuang Yin, adopted the philosophy of Confucianism (Ruxue). Scholars were appointed to government administration. Government fundings were expended on building schools throughout the whole country and on supporting youngsters to study, eat and live in the schools. An imperial examination named Keju was established to select outstanding scholars to be government officials. The examination was conducted in three formats - Shi (poetry), Fu (descriptive prose with verse), and Lun Ce (discourse in politics). The impact was that everybody began to study hard and tried to learn how to write Jing (classic scriptures), Shi (history), Shi (poetry), Fu, and Guwen (prose in classical literary style). People wanted to sit for the examination in order to obtain a position in the government and this indirectly led to the popularity of learning. There are also scholars of Taoism who taught people to read and think. The prosperity of study atmosphere in Song Dynasty is still a hot topic nowadays.
