摘要


當LED微縮為Micro LED,將不再是單純的發光元件,而將變身為具有核心技術的高附加價值產品。Micro LED為看好之次世代顯示技術,其高亮度、高對比、高反應速率及強光可視、強健耐候性之特性,在新興成長之顯示應用領域具有極大之優勢。然而良率、成本為進入商業量產市場之關鍵。目前最關鍵之製程為巨量轉移,其精度、穩定性之要求對設備而言是極大之挑戰。此外,在檢測、缺陷修補亦是設備投入的重點。Micro LED為高度整合之產業,台灣具備LED、顯示器、半導體及電子設備之完整產業鏈,擁有厚實之技術實力,有機會在次世代顯示領域奪得一席之地。

When LED is reduced in size to micrometer level, aka Micro LED, it will no longer be a simple light-emitting element, but will be transformed into a high value-added product with core technology. Micro LED is a promising next-generation display technology. Its high brightness, high contrast, high response rate, visibility under strong light, and strong weather resistance have generated great advantages in emerging display applications. However, yield and cost are the key for entering the market. At present, the most critical process is mass transfer. Its accuracy and stability requirements are great challenges for the equipment. In addition, detection and defect repair are also the key development focus for equipment industry. Micro LED display is a highly technology-integrated industry. Taiwan has a complete industry chain of LEDs, namely displays, semiconductors, and electronic equipment industries. It has solid technical strength and superior conditions to win a place in the next-generation display field.
