The present report describes four species of gastropod and twenty species of pelecypod fossils from the Nankang formation, situated at the Wufen-shan, southern Taipei City. These faunas are: Nassarius minoensis Itoigawa, Calliostoma (Calotropis) simane Nomura & Hatai, Tegula (Chlorostoma) pfeifferi (Philippi), Mangilia sp., Soletellina minoensis Yokoyama, Mercenaria yokoyamai (Makiyama), Pitar (Costellipitar) taiwanensis (Yokoyama), Chione tiara (Dillwyn), Crssatina pauxilla Yokoyama, Merisca taipeinica, n.sp., Anadara gokiensis Tan., Anadara (Anadara) makiyamai Hatai & Nisiyama, Vasticardium cf. ogarai (Otuka), Modiolus (Modiolatus) yusueiroi Kamada, Chlamys ishidae Masuda, Pecten (Pecten) javanus Martin., Delectopecten Peckhami (Gaff), Ostrea rosacea Deshayes, Cultella izumohnsis japanicus Kanno, Solen cf. krusensterni Schrenck, Ensis sp., and Limaria? etc. The geologic age of Nankang formation is Middle Miocene and Possibly correlate to the Nishikurosawa formation of Akita Province and Taga, Shirado, and Yunagaya groups of Joban Coal Field of Japan.
