摘要

根據本文所作之探討，臺灣豆科植物之特性，有如下所舉五點：1.臺灣的豆科植物種以及屬的數目不多。2.大多數的屬均由少數種所構成。3.族較種或屬具有多樣性。4.大多數的自生構成種或屬均廣泛地分布。5.固有種有18種3變種及2型，準固有種有15種。

This investigation attempts to survey the characters of Leguminosae in Taiwan. According to recent estimation, the Leguminosae has about 18,000 species of 663 genera belonging to 42 tribes and 3 subfamilies in the world. The native Leguminosae in Taiwan compries about 157 species of 58 genera belonging to 21 tribes and 3 subfamilies; of which 10 species, 4 genera, 3 tribes are the members of Caesalpinioideae; 8 species, 4 genera, 3 tribes belonging to Mimosoideae; and 139 species, 50 genera, 15 tribes are the members of Papilionoideae. The ratio of number of native Taiwan legumes / world legumes in each classification is 100 % in the subfamily, 50 % in the tribe, 9 % in the genus, and only 1 % in the species level. The numbers of genera and species in each tribe of Taiwanese Leguminosae are listed in table 4. The characters of native Leguminosae in Taiwan are summarized as following: 1. There are only a few species and genera of native legumes in Taiwan, comparing with the numbers of species and genera in the world. 2. Most of genera are composed of only a few species. 3. The tribe of native legumes in Taiwan has its multiplicity, and the species or genus show its relative simplicity. 4. Many native species or genera are widely distributed in the world. 5. There are 18 species with 3 varieties and 2 forms are endemic, and 15 species are sub-endemic to Taiwan.
