含金角礫岩礦筒形式與金瓜石角礫岩礦筒之探討

摘要


環太平洋地區之黃金產能日益重要,其中許多重要的金礦床是屬於角礫礦筒型,且不乏世界級之超大型金礦床,例如金含量大於350公噸的美國Cripple Creek礦等。近年來中國大陸也發現許多重要的角礫岩含金礦床。而菲律賓最富的Lepanto的斑岩金銅礦床,亦是藉由其上方角礫岩礦筒之研究,追蹤發現的。足見研究角礫岩礦筒之重要性。就成因而言,含金角礫岩筒大致可簡單分為四種:(1)深成角礫岩筒(Hypabyssal breccias pipes),(2)低火口角礫岩筒(Maar volcanoes),(3)熱水噴發角礫岩筒(Hydrothermal explosion breccias pipes),(4)斷層角礫岩筒(Fault-related breccias pipes)。深成角礫岩筒略呈圓柱或圓錐狀,上部直徑由數十米至一公里,深度一般為其直徑之數倍,主要生成於0.5-2公里之深度,由侵入岩上部之分化液體爆發而成。低火口角礫岩筒也是和火成岩有關,不過是在約0.5公里以內之較淺處,由地下水接觸到炙熱的火成岩體變成水蒸氣所生成之高壓爆發而成,常呈圓錐狀,直徑數百米至千米以上。熱水噴發角礫岩筒生成於更淺,局限於0.3公里深至地表,直徑僅數十米至數百米,常呈不規則形狀。斷層角礫岩筒是由斷層引起,其形狀及規模依斷層而異。金礦化作用一般均在角礫岩筒形成後產生。臺灣聞名的金瓜石礦區具有許多重要的含金角礫岩礦筒,亦將在本文一併討論。

Many significant auriferous breccia pipes were found at Chinkuashih, Taiwan, and the richest porphyry gold-copper orebody in the Philippines was recently discovered at Lepanto through the study of the breccia pipe above it. Accordingly, it is important to study breccia pipes. These breccia pipes occur in the eastern part of Chinkuashih as a north-south trend and belong to the class of hypabyssal breccia pipe of Baker et al. (1986) in morphology. They form at depth of 1.2-4 km nearby the intrusives. Both the meteoric water contacted with the hot igneous rocks and the volatiles from the Crystzllizing melt play roles in the brecciation. The potential of other undiscovered breccia pipes in the Chinkuashih district was discussed.
