Verbena bonariensis L. (Verbenaceae): A Newly Naturalized Plant in Taiwan

摘要

Verbena bonariensis L. (Verbenaceae), a species of South American origin, is here reported for the first time from Taiwan. A taxonomic description and a line drawing are prepared. A key to distinguish this plant from V. officinalis L., the only other congeneric species in Taiwan, is provided. The chromosome number in plants of this local population is determined (2n=28).
