On Some Potanthus Species from Taiwan (Lepidoptera: Hesperiidae)

摘要

Four Potanthus species are recognized here from a collection made since 1984 in Taiwan. They are P. confucius angustatus (Matsumura), P. motzui sp. nov., P. juno wilemanni Evans and P. pava pava (Fruhstorfer) respectively, in which P. motzui is a new species. The first description of the fem ale of P. juno wilemanni and the first observation on early stages of P. pava pava are also reported.

自1984年調查所集之臺灣產黃斑挵蝶屬Potanthus標本，計確認4種：小黃斑挵蝶P.confucius angustatus（Matsumura），細帶黃斑挵蝶P.motzui sp.nov.，韋氏黃斑挵蝶P.juno wilemanni Evans及淡色黃斑挵蝶P.pava pava Fruhstorfer，其中細帶黄斑挵蝶爲新種，種名來自戰國時代著名思想家墨子。此外本文並包括了韋氏黃斑挵蝶雌蟲的初次記錄以及淡色黃斑挵蝶幼生期、寄主植物之首次記載。
