A new species of the genus, Pseudogobiopsis (Pisces, Gobiidae) from China

摘要

A new goby, Pseudogobiopsis wuhanlini sp. nov., is collected from lower drainages of both Min River, Fujian Provinces and Pearl River, Kwangton Province of south-eastern China. This new species is characterized by shorter jaw length in male and reduced cephalic canal system from other 2 congeneric species from Thailand and Indonesia. The genus, Pseudogobiopsis is the first record from the gobioid fauna of China. It is also the northmost record of this genus. The re-definition of the genus, description of the new species and discussion with related genera and species are provided.

本文係報導採自中國南部福建省閩江及廣東省珠江下游的新種鰕虎魚類，伍氏擬髯鰕虎（Pseudogobiopsis wuhanlini sp. nov.)。此新種與東南亞「泰國及印尼」所產的本屬魚種可以下列的特徵加以區分：（1）上下顎較短；（2）感覺孔退化而較少。本屬爲中國鰕虎魚類的新紀錄屬，亦爲本屬魚種分佈最北的紀錄。本文並重新界定本屬的定義，提供新種描述以及討論與相似屬種的關係。
