The study of current status of infant urinary tract infection and risk factor in Asia

Objective: Urinary tract infection is one of the most common diseases in children. In particular, infants with atypical urinary tract infections are more common. It is easy to cause urinary sepsis, neglecting to structural abnormalities and even causing further damage to renal parenchyma. End-stage renal disease, etc. The purpose of this study was to investigate the risk factors for infant urinary tract infections. Methods: Investigation and analysis of an electronic medical record at a medical center in central Taiwan, and the risk factors for the detection of infants with counter-infected tract infections. Results: 2008.01.01~2010.12. 31, effective sample of 324, infant urinary tract infection accounted for 0.18% (324/178264), medical treatment symptoms with fever 99.1 (321/324) most, abnormal structure accounted for 18.5% (60/324), of which 89.9% up to the bladder ureter (54/60), 100% of male infants were not circumcised. Conclusion: Urinary tract infections may vary due to national conditions, folk customs, ethnicity, and gender. It is hoped that this study will increase the number of clinical workers and parents who have fever in infants. More sensitivity to reduce the harm caused by disease and reduce mortality.
