Contemporary Christian Theology through the Arts and Culture

並列摘要

1918 marks the beginning of a massive revision of Christian theology in the West. But where theologians were unwilling to face change, literature and the arts have embraced the shift into modernism, finding new ways to express the religious in culture. Literature was moving closer into the world of theology, and the space of literature was articulating religious ideas. As we move towards postmodernism, so Martin Heidegger's idea of dwelling poetically" becomes ever more meaningful, and the Christian churches become ever more marginal, such that theological is finding its expression ever more embedded in literature and the arts.
