民國時期基督教圖像的本土化努力

The Inculturation of Chinese Christian Arts in the Republic of China

並列摘要

During the Chinese Christianity Inculturation Movement of the 1920-1930's, many Christian paintings were produced, including the pictures in the Kung Kao Po (a Catholic newspaper in Hong Kong), icons painted by teachers and students in Fu Jen University, and the series of pictures from the Chinese Christian Evangelical Art Society. On the basis of the particular characteristics of these images, this essay attempts an artistic and theological analysis of the paintings, analyzing the intent of the painters' efforts and the reasons why they may have failed to realize these goals.
