摘要

在苏黎世大学罗伯特．P.克莱默斯教授和香港圣经公会的支持下，由吕振中牧师翻译的圣经中文全译本于1970年问世，这使吕振中成为有史以来第一位将圣经翻译为白话文的中国人。尽管吕版圣经未达到教会权威们制定的翻译标准，但作为圣经中译史上的里程碑，它可以既用于教会内部也面向普罗大众。吕振中近三十年和克莱默斯十余年的共同努力没有白费。对于把福音传播给中国人这一普世事业来说，他们的硕果现在是、将来也会是值得称颂的贡献。

One of the Chinese versions of the whole Bible by LV Zhenzhong was puhlished in 1970 with the help of Zurich University's Prof. Robert P. Krarners and the Bible Society of Hong Kong. LV is the first translator of the whole Bible into the Chinese vernacular although this translation was not adequate to the standards of the Bible translating approved by authorities of the Churches. The translation can be used both within and outside the Churches. And now LV' Bible translation becomes a milestone in Biblical scholarship. It is and will remain in the future a meritorious contribution to the worldwide enterprise of spreading the Goods News to China.
