高齡者進住長期照護機構意願之探討-人口統計變數、生活型態、行為變數與涉入程度之影響分析

Exploring Elderly People's Intention to Reside at Long-term Care Institutions- The Influences of Demographic Variables, Lifestyle, Behavior Variables, and Consumer Involvement

摘要


台灣地區於民國82年時,65歲以上的人口已經達到總人口的7%,成為聯合國衛生組織定義的「高齡化社會」。因此,有關老人福利與照護政策等議題,近年來頗受各界專業人士與政府多方的關切與討論,可見高齡者福利的建構之急迫性。本研究之主要目的,係希望在國人還無法完全接受長期照護機構之前,探討影響進住意願的相關因素,提供我國長期照護機構服務發展規劃之參考。本研究選定人口統計變數、生活型態變數、行為變數及涉入程度變數,作為探討對長期照護機構進住意願之主要變數。本研究以台北市50歲以上之高齡者為研究母體,利用便利抽樣進行問卷調查。統計方法主要使用敘述統計、因素分析、集群分析及卡方檢定。研究結果發現,在人口統計變數方面,本研究發現籍貫對於長期照護機構有顯著差異。行為變數上,發現未來進住情形、參觀意願、是否聽過及廣告接收情形對於長期照護機構有顯著差異。涉入程度變數方面,發現涉入程度之高低對於長期照護機構有顯著差異。最後,本研究將針對有意願高齡者之各集群與無意願高齡者之各集群,提出各集群之行銷策略,作為經營業者之建議。

The population over 65 years old of Taiwan has been reach 7% of total population in 1993, and thus Taiwan has become the old-age societal structure defined by WHO (World Health Organization). Correspondingly, the welfare and long-term care policy of elders is a critical and urgent issue for government and specialists. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the significant factors influencing living intention of long-term care institutions under prevalent negative images about traditional sanatoriums. The research results can provide useful and valuable suggestions for developing and planning long-term care institutions. The demographic, lifestyle, behavior, consumer involvement variables are considered as the main influential factors of living intention. The elders over 50 years old living in Taipei City are selected to be population of interest, and we conducted convenience sampling to implement questionnaire survey. The analytical methods of empirical data include descriptive statistic, factor analysis, cluster analysis, and chi-square test. Some important findings are revealed in the empirical results. The significant factors influencing living intention include the province of one's family register in demographic variables, the life styles after moving in care center, visiting motivation, reputation, advertisement cognition in behavior variables, and consumer involvement. Next, we conducted cluster analysis on high-and low- intention elders. Finally, several marketing strategies concerning each cluster are suggested to the authority.
