In this essay, approaches of story theology which C.S. Song proposes in In the Beginnings were Stories, not Text are discussed with Don Cupitt's What is a Story?. The conclusions show the different approaches are based on the idea that stories embody religious minds, and the limitations of story theology are caused by the nature of language and the concepts of religions. A practice of story theology is performed by doing theology with Taiwanese fictionist Lee Chiao's short story Journey to Taimu Mountain.
