This paper aims at re-elaborating the definition of global pentecostalism and charismatic movement through the contextual reflection of the Protestant in Taiwan. While retrievaling the historical origin and spreading toward worldwide nations, the character of self-identification in the exercises of sanctification is found as the constitutive factor. The transition of self-identification as dynamic adjustment in the context has much to do with particular religious culture in each group. The exercises of sanctification of three main Protestant groups in Taiwan, namely True Jesus Church in Taiwan, Bread of Life Christian Church in Taipei and the charismatic wing in The Presbyterian Church in Taiwan, will be discussed.
