摘要

Language can reflect society, and gender differences in language can reflect social biases. There is sexism against women in many languages. This paper firstly describes the phenomenon of sexism in English and Chinese from word construction, word meaning, and word order, and then gives further analysis of the causes of this phenomenon from the historical, cultural, social, and psychological factors.
