檔案目錄使用研究議題之探析

目錄是檔案使用者找尋、確認及選擇檔案資料的一種便捷查詢工具。為了提升目錄的使用率，目錄使用研究者除了從系統角度來評估目錄的優缺點外，近來更強調從使用者角度去了解其對目錄的使用評價與期待，特別是當使用者已躍升為檔案服務的核心地位，使用者的滿意度及建議往往即決定了檔案服務應提供的項目。相關文獻顯示，檔案目錄使用的研究數量並不多，然從目錄使用的角度來看，圖書館豐富的目錄使用研究得以提供檔案目錄使用研究的參考。為持續加強檔案目錄使用之相關研究，本文除了解檔案目錄使用的研究情形外，也探討相關議題。

Catalog is a form of tools for users to find, identify and select archives. In order to evaluate the advantages and drawbacks of catalog, some researchers study it from system-oriented views, while others emphasize the user-oriented views. Users have been placed in the core position in archive services these days, and users' satisfaction together with suggestions often become the key factors to decide what kinds of archive services should be provided. There are not plenty of literatures on the use of archive catalog, but researches about the use of library catalog may be good reference resources in the views of catalog use. In order to improve the use of archive catalog continuously this paper introduces some research findings, and discusses several issues about it.
