The purpose of this paper is to analyze the concept of curriculum implementation, including the following topics: 1. The definition and significance of curriculum implementation in the process of curriculum development. 2. Two perspectives of curriculum implementation-the fidelity perspective and the mutual adaptation perspective. 3. Five dimensions of curriculum implementation: subject matter, organization, roles or behaviors, knowledge and understanding, and value internalization. 4. The levels of curriculum implementation. 5. The determinants of curriculum implementation. In the paper, different theories are discussed, some empirical studies are also presented.
