The Bodhisattva practice is a fundamental of Humanistic Buddhism. It should be compatible with the times and society. With concerns of realistic life issues in contemporary society, aspirations of Bodhisattva practices should adjust accordingly. The Bodhisattva practice advocated by Venerable Master Hsing Yun is reflected in many aspects. This paper mainly focuses on three aspects entailing the ideas and practices of contemporary Bodhisattva practices advocated by the Venerable Master: (1) Promote environmental protection with ecological and spiritual implementations; (2) Promote a political view by participating in politics but not effecting politics; and (3) Promote equality for equal rights between men and women.
