Research Progress on the Effects of Industrial Robots on the Labor Market

摘要

Artificial intelligence is reshaping the pattern of world development with a rapid growth trend, in which industrial robots as an innovative technology are profoundly affecting the labor market. With IFR releasing data on robot imports and installations, the consequences of robot‐based automation technology on the labor market have sparked heated discussion among scholars. Through a review of the representative literature, this paper systematically sorts out the problems of robot adoption on employment, wages, and other labor market outcomes. At last, several references are put forward for possible future research directions.
