In this paper, the micro‐texture is processed by pressing the micro‐texture into mould gasket, and TiCrAlSiN coating is deposited on the tool surface. The friction and wear tests of four kinds of cutting tools were carried out under dry friction condition. The results show that the method of pressing micro‐texture with die gasket is feasible, and the wear resistance of cutting tools can be improved under the joint action of surface micro-texture and coating technology.
