In recent years, the word "Buddha-like" has been widely spread through the Internet, and has become a label for youth to display themselves, thus deriving a kind of Buddha-like subculture. "Buddha-like" is a kind of life attitude that it's fine to have something or not and there is no need to pursue or win anything and has nothing to do with the religion of Buddhism. The Buddha-like subculture reflects the young people's adaptive mentality under the modern fierce competition and the silent resistance to the mainstream positive and enterprising culture. This paper analyzes the Buddha-like subculture from the perspective of formation, cause and guiding strategies, to deepen the understanding of the Buddha-like phenomenon in Chinese youth.
