Among the movements promoting the conservation of world heritage around the globe, world heritage education is one of the most important. Although Taiwan is not an official member of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), in order to promote scenic locations in Taiwan for inclusion in the world heritage sites, Taiwan's government needs to pay serious attention to policy issues regarding world heritage in order to connect and communicate with the other countries. The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze the policies and directions regarding the world heritages in South Korea. Additionally, due to its similar cultural and historical background to Taiwan and its good progress in heritages conservation, South Korea was chosen as the target for further investigation in study. By using documentary analysis, the strategies adopted and challenges encountered in South Korea were analyzed and conclusions drawn. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a future reference for Taiwan's government to promote the policies and works related world heritage education.
