The human rights theoretical research paradigms involve theoretical hypothesis, analytical framework, argumentation methods and core issues. There are competing and transforming paradigms in the study of Western human rights theories, including objective paradigm and subjective paradigm, subjective-objective paradigm and intersubjective paradigm, fundamentalist paradigm and constructivist paradigm. The motivation for the transformation of human rights theoretical research paradigms, comes from the explanatory dilemma faced by the theories and the competition between different paradigms. The transformation of human rights theoretical research paradigms means not only a significant change in theoretical research, but also an improvement in the theoretical explanatory power and the predictive power.
