BUDDHISM UNDER EARLY ERA OF COMMUNIST CHINA
摘要
本文主要以《現代佛學》為研究對象，探討佛教在中共建國初期的發展，特別是其內部思想的如何被改造與調節，以迎合新政權的需要。了解宗教在共產政權下的發展，認識宗教界「民主」人士如何企圖利用政治環境去實現理想，進行宗教復興，而最終卻被政治完全駕御，致使宗教淪為附和及合理化政權的工具。

This article aims to study the internal changes of Buddhism in Communist China before 1960s. During the early era of Coummuinst sovereign, certain avantgrade Chinese Buddhists, represented by Ju Zan, tried to revitalize Chinese Buddhism by means of political power. However, the attempt has failed and Chinese Buddhism finally became a part of propaganda mechanism of the State.
