The Venerable Monk Xuyun's Life as an Exemplar for Humanistic Buddhism
虛雲老和尚一生是人間佛教的典範
摘要
The life of the Venerable monk Xuyun was a perfect example of an individual striving to realize the ultimate Truth and walking the Bodhisattva Path to benefit all sentient beings. Although Xuyun experienced numerous challenging events throughout his lifetime, often closely resulting in his demise, he managed to continuously keep a focused mind and strictly continued on the Buddhist path. After his enlightenment, Xuyun strived to restore and revitalize Buddhism and the Sangha in a time of decay and diminishing discipline. This article will look to explore Humanistic Buddhism in the context of Xuyun's life.
