星雲大師人間佛教理念下的馬來西亞佛教青年運動
The Movement of Malaysian Buddhist Youth Under The Concept of Humanistic Buddhism by Master Hsing Yun
摘要
本文主要論述在星雲大師人間佛教理念下，馬來西亞佛教青年運動的開展、實踐情形及所取得的成果。本文擬透過兩方面做為論述進路，即：（一）人間佛教與佛教青年：闡述大師對佛教青年的重視、其早期在臺灣所領導的佛教青年運動、佛光山對佛教青年的培養，以及佛教青年所展開的各項活動，藉此凸顯人間佛教發展與佛教青年有著密不可分的關係；（二）星雲大師與早期馬來西亞佛教青年運動：主要論述大師人間佛教理念對馬來西亞佛教青年運動所產生的重大影響及其實踐情況，以及敘述馬來西亞佛光青年會的成立與實踐。特別以九○年代馬來西亞佛光山道場、馬來西亞佛光會以及佛光青年團的成立為背景，說明人間佛教理念如何引導馬來西亞佛教青年，推展各項弘法活動，積極落實與實踐人間佛教的理想。

This paper is to discuss the development, practice and achievements of the Buddhist Youth movement in Malaysia under the concept of Humanistic Buddhism by Master Hsing Yun. From here we explore how the concept of Humanistic Buddhism by master influence the Buddhist Youth movement in Malaysia. We discuss this from two aspects. The first one, Humanistic Buddhism and Buddhist Youth: The master's attention to Buddhist Youth, Buddhist Youth movement led by master in Taiwan in his early stage, the cultivation of Buddhist Youth by Fo Guang Shan, and the activities of Buddhist youth to highlight the development of Humanistic Buddhism have inseparable relationship with Buddhist Youth; Secondly, Master Hsing Yun and early Buddhist Youth movement in Malaysia: Mainly describes the great influence and practice of Master's Humanistic Buddhism concept on the early Buddhist Youth movement in Malaysia, this makes the Buddhist Youth movement in Malaysia develop vigorously. It also describes the establishment and practice of the Malaysia BLIA-YAD (Malaysia Buddha's Light International Association - Young Adult Division) in Malaysia:We use the establishment of Fo Guang Shan Malaysia, BLIA Malaysia (Malaysia Buddha's Light International Association) and BLIAYAD (Buddha's Light International Association - Young Adult Division) in the 1990s as a background to describe how the concept of Humanistic Buddhism of Master Hsing Yun guides Malaysian Buddhist Youth and promotes the activities of Buddhism, and then implements and practices the concept of Master's Humanistic Buddhism.
