1949年台灣佛教隨著大陸的各省籍緇素來台，各地結社念佛風氣如雨後春筍。戰後台灣地區在解嚴前到底有多少結社或是成立多少蓮社，有哪些代表性淨土人物？其淨土思想為何？皆非常值得關注。
