整合資料庫與全球資訊網技術於水資源管理之應用-以水利法規資料庫為例

摘要


全球資訊網(World Wide Web,簡稱WWW)是目前在網際網路上使用最頻繁的服務系統,透過共通性的瀏覽器(Browser)使用者界面,網路資訊得以跨平台多媒體方式呈現,大幅改善變傳統應用程式開發的方式及操作界面,開拓了層面更廣的網際網路應用。因爲全球資訊網當初主要是爲文件瀏覽而設計,如要透過瀏覽程式使用其他的應用程式會遭遇許多困難,形成目前進一步推廣應用之瓶頸,本研究探討資料庫管理系統(DBMS)與全球資訊網結合應用之問題,利用目前普遍使用之作業系統Windows NT提供之網路伺服器系統(IIS)提出解決之方案,並以水利法規爲例,嘗試保留各項法規所屬之主管機關不同之特性來維護與更新,使得法規資料庫形成一種分散式資料庫系統並利用蓬勃發展的網路技術,藉由完整的網路主從式架構與全球資訊網技術來進行分散式資料庫的管理與提供網際查詢的功能,期能提供水利工作人員方便的法規查詢服務。

World Wide Web (WWW) has become one of the most popular services on the internet. Documents from variable platforms are able to be linked and presented in multimedia appearance. The easy to use browser provides users an universal interface and makes the access to resources on different platforms much easier than ever. Since the browser was originally design for text hyperlink, difficulties arouse when external programs (such as database management system, graphics program, of specific user applications) are to be invoked through browser. This paper tried to resolve some of the problems when database management system (DBMS) is to be used integrally with the Web browser for better data management through the internet. A case study was presented in the paper for set up a webbased inquiry system for water resource related codes and regulations in Taiwan by using the Internet Information Server (IIS) from Microsoft.
