The use of irrigation water quality from the Chih-Sin Irrigation Association which is located in Taipei suburb as input data for factor analysis. Main investigated areas are Kwan-Do and Zou-Mei District, and twelve monitoring points have been established among four major water inlets: Eight-Sen chanel, Ki-Long river, Kai-Zu-Kong stream and Sei-Mo-Kong stream. Other two monitoring points are located in Nong-Kon. Samples were analyzed eight times during as three-years period. Three pollutant patterns can be classified by factor analysis. These are salinity, heavy metals and over-fertilization. High salinity have been appeared in Zow-Mei water pumping canal and downstream of Eight-Sen Channel. Heavy metals (Cu, Zn and Hg) have been appeared in Weed-Zan Lake, which is polluted by nearby industries. The Sei-Mo-Kong stream also found out Pb pollution, which was polluted by automobile repairment companies. The Kai-Zu-Kong stream have shown eutrophication and increasing salinity in recent investigation. Degrade water quality of both streams will have negative effect in Kwan-Do wetland conservation.
