蝙蝠蛾擬青黴萃取物對高脂飲食誘發肥胖雄性小鼠具生殖機能改善

Effects of Paecilomyces hepiali extract supplement on reproductive health in mice fed with high-fat diet

近期相關研究證實,肥胖會影響睪固酮低落及降低精液品質,全球肥胖人口日益增加,連帶影響不孕症患者數量隨之增長.冬蟲夏草是中國傳統中藥材,針對男性或女性不孕及性無能具有相當程度的療效。蝙蝠蛾擬青黴(Paecilomyces hepiali)自冬蟲夏草子實體分離的伴生菌。本研究以蝙蝠蛾擬青黴萃取物進行試驗是否具有生殖保護能力。經16週高脂飲食誘導雄鼠肥胖後,給予單一劑量500 mg/kg/day之蝙蝠蛾擬青黴菌絲體萃取物餵食8周後進行犧牲。結果指出餵食蝙蝠蛾擬青黴菌絲體萃取物的高脂飲食老鼠在精子活動力提升36%、精子正常型態數量上改善30%,皆有明顯改善,同時血清睪固酮亦有明顯增加,二氫睪固酮濃度降低到與對照組相同。綜合上述結果顯示,蝙蝠蛾擬青黴具有改善精子品質、增加血清睪固酮改善肥胖所致的生殖能力損傷。

Recent studies have confirmed that obesity is associated with a lower testosterone level and poorer sperm quality. Cordyceps sinensis is a traditional Chinese medicine, which has a considerable degree of therapeutic effect on male or female infertility and impotence. Paecilomyces hepiali is an endoparasitic fungus of Cordyceps sinensis. In this study, the effect of Paecilomyces hepiali mycelium extract on reproductive parameters was evaluated. C57BL/6J male mice were fed a high-fat diet (HFD) for 16 weeks. During the last 8 weeks, mice were treated with a single dose of 500 mg/kg/day of Paecilomyces hepiali mycelium extract for 8 weeks until sacrifice. Results showed that Paecilomyces hepiali mycelium extract supplementation in high-fat diet fed mice improved sperm motility by 36% and normal sperm morphology by 30% when compared to the control group. Moreover, serum testosterone was markedly elevated while dihydrotestosterone levels reduced to the same level as that in the control group. Taken together, these findings showed that Paecilomyces hepiali could improve sperm quality by increasing serum testosterone to ameliorate the decrease in fertility caused by obesity.
