摘要


目的:觀察Bmi-1蛋白在鼻咽癌(nasopharyngeal carcinoma, NPC)組織中的表達,探討Bmi-1表達與臨床病理特徵的關係。方法:利用免疫組織化學方法檢測103例NPC和80例鼻咽炎症石蠟包埋組織中的Bmi-1表達情況。結果:在103例NPC中,33例Bmi-1呈陰性(32.04%),70例呈陽性(67.96%)。在80例鼻咽炎症中,65例Bmi-1呈陰性(81.25%),15例呈陽性(18.75%),NPC的Bmi-1陽性表達率明顯高於鼻咽炎症(P<0.05)。Bmi-1的陽性率與淋巴結轉移(P=0.01)及臨床TNM分期(P=0.01)密切相關,而與患者性別及年齡無關。結論:研究結果提示Bmi-1參與NPC的發生、發展及侵襲和轉移過程,陽性表達可以作為NPC預後不良的一項指標。

Objective: To investigate the expression of Bmi-1 protein in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and explore its associations with clinicopathological features. Methods: 103 NPC and 80 inflammatory nasopharyngeal tissue paraffin embedded samples were collected, and their Bmi-1 expression was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results: Among 103 NPC tissues, thirty-three cases showed Bmi-1 negative (32.04%), and 70 cases were positive (67.96). In 80 nasopharyngeal inflammatory tissues, 65 cases showed Bmi-1 negative (81.25%) and 15 positives (18.75). The Bmi-1 protein expression rate of NPC was significantly higher than that of nasopharyngeal inflammatory tissues (P<0.05). The Bmi-1 protein expression rate of NPC was correlated significantly with lymph node metastasis (P=0.01) and clinical stage (P=0.01), but no significant associations were found with sex and age. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that Bmi-1 is involved in the occurrence, development, invasion and metastasis of NPC. Bmi-1 positive expression can be used as an indicator of the poor prognosis of NPC.
