Two discussions about words and sentences of "guo dian chu mu zhu jian"

Abstracts

本文擬討論了《郭店楚墓竹簡．老子》甲第十四、十五簡以及第十五、十六、十七簡之兩則疑難字句。在維持簡本的完整性以及符應《老子》本義之情況下，筆者認為第一句（對應今本第六十三章）應讀為「大少（小）之，多惕（易）必多（難土）（難）」，意即為了「守柔處下」，避免「物壯則老」，聖人要「大小之」，然因為「多易必多難」故聖人最後又要「難之」的態度處事。第二句（對應今本第二章）應讀為「萬勿（物）□（作）而弗□（□／司）也」，意即萬物自然運作，而聖人並不為之主宰；萬物順自然作為，而聖人並不以此為恃；萬物順自然成就，而聖人並不以此居功。

Parallel abstracts

This article is going to discuss the two problematic words and sentences from the NO.14 to NO.15 and NO.15 to NO.17 slices of "guo dian chu mu zhu jian．lao zi"jia. In the situation of keeping the "chu jian"'s completeness and conforming to the "lao zi"'s mian meaning, author consider the first sentence (responses to chapter 63 of the present edition) should be read as "da shao(xiao) zhi, duo ti(yi) bi duo nan(nan)" which means "keep weak and stay lowly", avoids "strongs will be olds",and the sage would "reduce the big" , due to "more easier must be more difficult", the sage would raise "difficulties" over everything finally. The second sentence (responses to chapter 2 of the present edition) should be read as " wan wu(wu) zuo(zuo) er fu ci(ci/si) ye" which means everything operates naturally, and the sage don't dominate it; everything do itself naturally, and the sage don't depend on it; everything successes naturally, and the sage don't claim credit for himself.
