數位機上盒產業之營運策略 – 以A公司為例

摘要


在2014年數位機上盒出貨數量達3億台其出貨金額已超過200億美金,對個案公司這是一個規模巨大的市場也是應該為自己的事業發展出未來的策略。本研究基於以下的方法論: 1.五力分析 (數位機上盒產業分析) 2.價值鏈分析 (公司內部分析) 3.SWOT 分析 (公司現今策略分析) 4.BCG 矩陣 (公司未來策略建議) 全球數位機上盒市場的產品十分多樣化,為個案公司找出對的產品是必要的。為進行更深入的產業分析,我們將闡述數位機上盒的產品生命週期及新世代產品在過去如何成為市場主流。這些將是利用BCG矩陣分析個案公司時定義Question Mark事業及Star事業的重要資訊,這也是幫助個案公司透過選擇正確的策略以在產業中致勝之要素。由於運營商已於其生態系統採取三網融合方案,混合型中階及高階產品將是個案公司未來發展的方向。 此外,與關鍵供應商的策略聯盟可強化個案公司並在面臨競爭激烈的市場上取得完整能力及優勢。

The STB global shipments were 300 million units with the revenue over $20 billion in 2014. This is a substantial market for A Company to work out a future strategy for its own business. The study of the thesis is based on following methodologies: 1.Five Forces Analysis (STB Industry Analysis) 2.Value Chain Analysis (Company Internal Analysis) 3.SWOT Analysis (Company Current Strategy Analysis) 4.BCG Matrix (Company Future Strategy Suggestion) As there are diversiform STB products in the global market, it is necessary to identify the right products for A Company. To commence an intensive study to this industry, we will illustrate the STB product life cycle and how its new generation were booming in the market in the past. These will be the essential information to define Question Mark Business and Star Business in the BCG matrix analysis. It will also facilitate A Company to win in this industry by selecting the correct strategy. Since the operators have been adopting triple-play in their ecosystem, the hybrid STB mid-level and high-level would be the direction for A company to develop in the future. In addition, the alliance with key supply chain vendors is the valid way to strengthen the capability and advantage of A Company to face the competition in the market.
