手持裝置應用之微帶線饋入開槽及金屬片多頻帶天線

摘要


本文提出一種新的多頻段手機天線,利用微帶線作為饋入線,耦合兩段半波長金屬條,以及接地面上兩個漸變開槽天線。藉由調整微調殘段、單極開槽天線以及半波長寄生金屬條的長度,可調整多個共振頻率而能夠滿足包含GSM850/900/1800/1900/UMTS/GPS 以及 WiMAX2.6/3.5/WLAN2.4/5 GHz 之十個頻帶操作。此外,本天線製作容易,設計原理簡單,整體體積僅占 40mm x 16mm x 0.8mm 相當符合未來手機天線設計之趨勢。 本設計使用之製程為一般電路板製程,易於量產,成本低廉。所選用的接地面大小為 40mm x 120mm,因此亦可滿足使用較寬接地面的個人數位助理手機 (PDA) 之設計。由於消費性電子越來越重視外觀質感,未來手機流行趨勢為金屬機殼,因此需要一種不受金屬物體影響之天線,本天線主要為 開槽式天線,對於週遭金屬之影響較低,並且和其他內部金屬元件 之間也不需要太多的隔離空間以減少耦合維持天線效能。相較於一般的單極天線、平面式倒 F 天線則容易受到環境金屬的影響不易有此良好之特性。此外,本天線頻率選擇簡單調整容易,偶極開槽天線單一個工作共振模態的頻寬相較於平面式倒F天線較寬,因此可大幅減少試錯以及微調的時間。

A new planar multiband antenna with a low antenna height less than 0.06 λ/4 is proposed for moblie handset applications. The antenna comprises two half-wave dipole antennas and two slot antennas. It is fed by a microstrip line which couples the two half-wave strip dipole antennas and two tapered slot antennas on the ground plane. Our design can cover 10 bands including GSM850/GSM900/GSM1800/GSM1900/UMTS/GPS for cellular communication systems, WiMAX2.6/3.5/WLAN2.4/5 GHz for wireless network applications, and the navigation GPS system. The resonant frequency of the antenna can be adjusted by simply changing the lengths of the tuning stub, the monopole slot, and the strip dipole at their respective fundamental resonances. The design principles are simple, the cost is relatively inexpensive, and the fabrication due to its simple 2-dimensional geometry. The radiating elements and the ground plane are located on both sides of the substrate. The whole area of the proposed antenna has dimensions of only 40mmx16mm , which is small enough to fulfill the requirement of the cellular phone.
