生物資料庫行銷策略之研究:以臺灣婦女癌症資料庫為例

摘要


正確且有效的行銷可以為企業和產業帶來無窮的商機,企業必須視其為最重 要的資產之一。生物資料庫所服務的市場主要來自於政府、生技業、製藥業、學術研究和其他生命科學機構所資助的生物醫學研究。生物資料庫的使用者使用生物資料庫越多,生物資料庫的商機將越來越大。生物資料庫的財務及永續經營,在很大程度上依賴於它能否成功地滿足客戶的各種需求和市場需求。生物資料庫所預期的市場增長,顯示了它將是一個很重要的生醫產業。然而生物資料庫這個行業的市場是一個高度競爭和分散的市場,生物資料庫可否行銷、如何制定行銷策略及如何行銷均有待進一步探討。 本論文從台灣婦女癌症生物資料庫的整體規劃與設置為案例,提出以質性研究為基礎的訪談,檢視生物資料庫此新興產業及台灣婦女癌症生物資料庫此組織,可以考慮進行的行銷策略和方法。本論文以問卷的方法,檢視和分析訪談者對潛在使用者所建議的行銷策略和方法。整體而言,台灣婦女癌症生物資料庫需要有效率的行銷策略和方法,以提升其形象和潛在的顧客溝通,繼而獲得顧客的支持,增強其營運並達到永續經營的目的。

How to market databases effectively has been an important issue for database managers, especially for scientific databases. However, little research has been done to explore how marketing strategies can enhance the business opportunities scientific databases. This study attempts to investigate how marketing strategies can be developed to enhance the utilization of biobanks which target on academic researchers, biomedical and life science researchers/organizations as well as biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Various subject matter experts (SMEs) from different fields were interviewed in our qualitative research, with important marketing strategies derived. Managerial implications, limitations, and future research directions were discussed.
