電子紙數位看板用於銀行之可行性研究

摘要


本研究對以電子紙為顯示媒介之數位看板系統在銀行的應用,依創新擴散模式、科技接受模式以及TOE架構等觀點,透過專家訪談,進行可行性與應用的探討。電子紙為一種創新的顯示器。相較於其他技術的顯示器,電子紙顯示器具有節能省電、高亮度環境仍然清晰可見、視角寬廣、觀看舒適不刺眼的特點,除了可在室內使用外,亦適合在戶外使用。基於此特性,相關的應用領域方興未艾,商業化的產品相繼推出。 在諸多的應用概念中,市場人士提出了電子紙在銀行中的應用的可能性。銀行的資訊揭露,除了圖像廣告外,還有以文字說明、數字圖表等資訊的表示。這些資料大多為靜態的資訊,極適合利用電子紙來做這些資訊的呈現。 本研究結果發現,雖然電子紙數位看板在易用性上受到普遍的認同,然而在目前部份的功能限制下,電子紙數位看板在目前導入銀行當中使用的機會不大。電子紙數位看板的環保節能等訴求,在銀行使用的數位看板數量小的原因下,有用性不夠吸引銀行廣泛採用,對提升公司重視環保的形象效果有限。但是在裝置大面積電視牆的證券營業大廳中,電子紙數位看板可以發揮其省電、佔用空間小與無視角限制的優勢,其導入對證券業的績效會有相當大的助益,也可提高公司加強客戶服務與環保節能之企業形象。此外,由於法令的限制,電子紙數位看板在銀行的應用可以使用的功能性受到非技術性的限制,這也導致銀行在導入新系統上的遲疑。

Epaper is an innovative display technology. In compared with current widely-used displays, such as CRT, LCD and LED, epaper display has the advantages with its outstanding performance of power-saving, crispy image under high illumination environments, wide view angle and no harsh light to the eyes. It is not only suitable for indoor applications, but also for outdoors. Thus it brought more and more commercial applications with epaper technology. Marketers suggest that banking service is one of the application fields for epaper technology. Due to plenty of static information needs to be shown in banks, such as currency and interest rates, financial product and banking service information. In this study we examined the possible adoption of epaper in banking application. Based on the technology diffusion, technology acceptance and TOE models, this study examines the possible deployment and application in banks through in-depth interview study. This thesis concludes that, although epaper signage system has several advantages over current systems, such as power saving, better visual effects, etc., the incentive is still not good enough to encourage banks to adopt it. In addition to the technology issues, certain government regulations also limit the usage of epaper signage systems. However, epaper digital signage could be a good replacement of the video walls in security firms.
