中文字型產生與部件組字之分析

摘要


由於電腦、網路日漸普及,訊息漸漸導向網路數位化,客製化字型的需求也跟著受到重視。然而字型檔的創建與應用,需要較多的知識背景,為了降低字型創作的技術門檻,本論文提出一套「雲端字型擴充服務」,建立一個服務平台,提供任何一位沒有技術背景的使用者,都可以簡單的創建、使用或分享自己的中文字型。服務分為三個階段:輸入階段(Input Phase)、管理階段(Manage Phase)、應用階段(Application Phase)。輸入階段提供數種不同的輸入流程取得具有使用者個人風格的「字形(glyph)」;管理階段讓使用者編輯、刪除字形資料或是與其他使用者進行字形的交換或買賣;應用階段協助使用者將字形轉為「字型檔(font)」,提供使用者下載或是雲端使用。此外,本論文提出一套根據「構字式」自動組字的方法,從已建立的字形中尋找適當的部件,自動組成所需要的字。幫助使用者降低需要建立的字型數量,提供更彈性的選擇以增進字型應用的實用度。 實驗證實,藉由本論文提出的「雲端字型擴充服務」,使用者不再侷限於高門檻的字型創建,可以直觀的完成個性化字型的設計與使用,並且能夠成為「自己字形的賣家」,促進個性化字型的交流。

In recent year, digital messages have drawn more attention since popularization of computers and Internet has been grown. Text information could be presented in different types on the information platform through different design of the fonts. It indicates that font design has become an important element for website nowadays. However, it is difficult for the masses to create and use the fonts by themselves due to the need of professional knowledge. Therefore, fonts are usually created only by some particular Font Company. We are developing a system, FontCloud Expanded Service System, to advise user an easy way to create their own outline fonts and use them on the Cloud Computing Space. The system is distributed into three phases: Input Phase, Manage Phase, and Application Phase. The Input Phase provides users for designing their own “glyph” and saving them on the Cloud Computing Space; The Manage Phase advises a platform that users could not only create, edit, delete their fonts but also share or trade their fonts with other users; In the Application Phase, user can download their fonts or use them directly on the electronic platform by an easy process that the system advises. Our service has worked to let anyone without professional knowledge to create, use, and communicate their own fonts. It also promotes to keep the fonts world moving. Moreover, our system provides a service to generate the fonts by character radical composition when the fonts needed are not built in the database. This service can raise the practicality of the system.
