UFI(The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry,以下簡稱UFI)更將SDG 8(尊敬工作與經濟成長)、9(經濟、創新與基礎建設)、11(永續城市與社區)、12(負責任的消費與生產)、13(氣候行動)、17(夥伴關係)等六項列為重要指標,並針對展覽主題(Exhibition Theme)、展覽執行(Exhibition Operation)及公司執行(Company’s Operation)三個面向探討展覽產業結合SDGs之現況,本文將探討展覽設計產業如何提供創新服務模式、結合3R原則(Reduce、Reuse、Recycle),並透過各利害關係人間合作以落實SDG 12(負責任的消費與生產)和SDG 17(夥伴關係)。

MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) is a key industry in the economic development of various countries. While MICE brings considerable economic benefits, it also has significant impact on the environment. In recent years, the Consumer Electronic Show (CES), Fira Barcelona and COMPUTEX have started to implement specific Green MICE programs. As stakeholders in the MICE industry, how organizers, together with exhibitors and service contractors, will be the focus of this study. In 2015, the United Nations announced a total of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as global development targets for 2016-2030. The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) also identified SDG 8 (Respect for Work and Economic Growth), 9 (Economy, Innovation and Infrastructure), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), 13 (Climate Action), and 17 (Partnerships) as key indicators, and addressed the current state of the exhibition industry's integration of SDGs by focusing on three areas: Exhibition Theme, Exhibition Operation and Company's Operation. Through questionnaires and interviews, this study collects the views of Taiwan's convention and exhibition design industry practitioners on the promotion of green convention and exhibition, and explores the motivation of various stakeholders to participate in green convention and exhibition, as well as the possibility of sustainable use of Green woodwork design in the future.
