This thesis is related to the research of dynamic response of continuous weighing process of a 38weighing units fruit weighing sorter. On the sorter, each weighing unit consists a weighing basin and a pair of four bar linkage (Raberval mechanism). A load cell was used to measure the weight of fruit under weighing process. Continuous weighing processes were carried in the study; experiment data were acquired and analyzed using LabVIEW. SIMULINK, a dynamic simulation software was used to model the weighing dynamics. The simulation results were consistent with experimental data. Two different locations were designed for the load cell, under the vertical column and on the far end of the horizontal beam of the linkage. As compared to the dynamic response of both designs, the former gave better performer both in stability and accuracy.
