This thesis includes two Taiwanese Opera plays, Painted Skin and Tranquility Song, and the concept of the creation. Painted Skin is an adaptation story based on a story of the same title from the novel, Liaozhai Zhiyi: Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio. This play is about a hero who was falsely accused of being a liar and was hated by everyone. A man plans to use a trick to help the hero to reverse the miscarriage of justice. Tranquility Song is a story about an amazing stone. The stone can make music which has therapeutic power that can help people forget their sadness. One day the stone turns into a man and wants to help people. However, he causes greater trouble as a result. The creation illustration includes the originality and analysis of the plot and characters, elaboration of the creation concept and approach, and introspection and prospective.
