裸眼式3D立體顯示器之可調控影像品質因子之研究

摘要


顯示影像的方式從平面進展到立體,並在硬體不斷的研發進步之下,立體影像技術不斷的提升,其中以裸眼式3D立體顯示技術最廣為大眾所驚豔,其擁有不需配戴眼鏡之優勢,肯定會成為3D立體顯示器的發展主流,更將是3D立體顯示器普及化的重要關鍵。 對於裸眼式3D立體顯示器而言,觀看位置以及於觀看位置可移動的範圍內的觀賞視域會強烈影響觀賞影像品質,一般對觀賞視域的討論多僅限於面對顯示器平行移動的範圍,但觀賞者相對顯示器也會前後移動,甚至多位觀賞者也會於前後位置觀賞3D立體影像,因此本論文對觀賞視域的研究不只針對面對顯示器平行移動的範圍,更深入探討面對顯示器前後移動的範圍並推導出其關係式,而且從雙影像裸眼式3D立顯示器之研究延伸至多影像裸眼式3D立顯示器之研究。 設計者設計出3D立體顯示器所能提供良好觀賞品質的最大觀賞視域為一重要課題,因此本論文分別討論各顯示影像品質因子:交互干擾、均勻度、半高全寬與最大輝度值對觀賞視域的影響,利用觀賞視域公式在固定最佳觀賞距離以及調變最佳觀賞距離的兩種情況下找出可調變的參數,藉由調變公式裡的參數,評估不同品質因子下的觀賞視域大小,以回饋設計者所設計雙影像視差屏障型裸眼式3D立體顯示器的規格。

The way to display image has been advanced from 2D to 3D, and with the hardware advancement, the stereoscopic technology becomes more and more advanced. One of the amazing stereoscopic displays is auto-stereoscopic display, the advantage of this kind of display is that observers do not need to wear glasses, thus the auto-stereoscopic display definitely will be the progress main stream of 3D display, and furthermore the auto-stereoscopic display will be the key technology of 3D display popularization. For auto-stereoscopic displays, the quality of the observer’s viewing image depends strongly on their viewing position and viewing zone. Most viewing zone research focuses on the area within which the observer can sway from left to right, rather than from front to back. Observers often sway front to back and in groups observers often stand behind one another. Therefore we consider the viewing zone’s depth in addition to its length and derive the relationship between these. We also study the viewing zone from a 2-view auto-stereoscopic display to a multi-view auto-stereoscopic display. Designers seek to provide the largest viewing zone with good quality. Thus, we discuss four image quality measurements (crosstalk, uniformity, FWHM and peak luminance) and how they affect the viewing zone. We identify the tunable parameters in two situations: fixed optimal viewing distance and tunable optimal viewing distance. By modulating these tunable parameters, the best specifications for 2-view barrier type 3D auto-stereoscopic displays to maximize good quality viewing zones can be identified for designers.
