音樂產業的發展與時俱進,多數消費者已不若往日選購音樂專輯,轉為透過行動裝置接收音樂產品,線上串流音樂為目前音樂市場主流,此基於平台機制而形成的商業模式也是產業由實體走向虛擬的重要一步,串流音樂產業價值鏈與傳統音樂大不相同,獲利能力亦備受質疑,惟台灣廠商 KKBOX在產業中異軍突起始終維持穩定獲利。 本文由全球音樂產業之發展脈絡延伸至台灣音樂產業現況,以台灣串流音樂平台廠商 KKBOX 作為主要研究個案,台灣串流音樂市場之新進競爭者國際大廠 Spotify則作為主要比較標的,以平台理論與策略音樂串流平台的商業模式;透過個人訪談與產業座談等方式搜集產業界最新資訊,解析個案對象之市場佈局,如何因應網路世界全球化浪潮下之並居於不敗之地。 研究發現,個案對象KKBOX 不僅專注串流音樂本業,更深化產品經營音樂與藝人社群,平台商業模式產生的網路外部性提升其多角化發展的綜效,透過併購行為補足 O2O 與技術上的不足,並整合活動資訊以提供消費者優質的資訊來源,掌握網路產業在地化的優勢,以虛實整合提高使用者依賴,用以反覆蓋現存與未來競爭者技術領先或品牌優勢的攻勢。 論文結果指出在地化可作為網路產業成功的優勢。對於數位音樂產業之未來研究方向建議,策略方面可由技術性出發的企業併購行為切入;串流音樂平台進行虛實整合之在地化與全球化之發展;串流平台伴隨產生之龐大資料庫,是否能由大數據發展出新的商業模式,上述三項皆是極為有趣的研究主題。
“Music is an engine of digital world. ” More and more consumers do not buy CDs, but purchase music services on-line. Currently, the streaming music is the mainstream of music market. The business model based on “platform.” The value chain of streaming music is totally different with original music industry. This paper started from the development of global music industry then contracted to the current situation of Taiwan market. The research reviewed platform theory, platform strategy, free model, and Online to Offline structure to explore the business model of streaming music platform. Base on the excellent operating performance, the local streaming music platform: KKBOX is the subject of case study; moreover, Spotify, the transnational streaming platform, the new entry of Taiwan market is the comparison company. The research indicates how KKBOX works. The synergy of multidimensional operation formed the counter effect from envelopment by other players; next, the O2O driven by SoLoMo (social, local, and mobile.) In brief, the actions put KKBOX to the 1st of Taiwan streaming music market and never threaten by competitors. It means the possibility of localizations to Internet industry. For future research, the strategic meger& acquisition based on advanced technology would be highly recommended. Second, how the localization and globalization influent O2O development of streaming music platform. Third, the high volume database of streaming music platform would be a good chance to apply Big-data.
