在本論文中,我們設計一寬頻螺旋型天線,利用理論分析、HFSS 模擬及實驗設計驗證其寬頻特性。我們利用寬頻微帶線和槽帶轉接器設計外部饋入輸入網路並利用寬頻電阻性阻抗轉換器和反射空腔,以改善螺旋型天線的輻射特性。實驗證明此天線可達到 2.2 到 4 GHz 的阻抗頻寬及輻射頻寬,可符合寬頻系統之需求。
In this thesis, broadband and multiband Archimedean slot spiral antennas are analyzed and designed. A new approach is introduced to identify the location of active region to predict the characteristics of spiral antennas. The current distribution along the spiral arm is simulated to verify this approach. The performance of spiral antenna is affected by the slot width, growing rate, dielectric loading, and dimensions of reflecting cavity. Broadband characteristics of spiral antennas can be extended by using external microstrip-to-slotline transition and tapered resistive termination to attenuate the reflected current at the end of spiral arms. Both radial stubs and multiple quarter wavelength stubs are also studied to improve the microstrip-to-slotline transition. The bandwidth of 10 dB return loss from 2.2 to 4 GHz is achieved with axial ratio below 5 dB and 15-20 dB front-to-back ratio.
