台灣化學材料產業發展與轉型策略研究—以D公司為例

摘要


台灣以電子高科技產業聞名於世,大型面板、半導體廠的產品供應至世界各地。為了製造這些高科技產品需使用大量的特用化學品,但這些化學品的供應早期是以日本及歐美廠商為主。台灣高科技產業若能扶植本土特用化學品廠商,形成完整的產業供應鏈將可有效提升整體國家競爭力。 本研究以D公司的個案公司為主體。先透過市場資訊收集,對特用化學品產業的特性進行分析,並聚焦於面板及半導體兩大領域之特用化學品的產業進行詳細探討。特用化學品的導入時程長、程式複雜、具專利權屏障,並有高度專業要求,對於新進者形成進入門檻。而個案分析部分,探討D公司的產品組合、商業模式及價值主張。同時分析其發展策略,如何於面板材料產業成功突破過去外國廠商的寡佔局面,站穩市場。並透過強弱危機分析剖析D公司的面板與半導體材料的競爭態勢分析。 近期因為面板產業加劇的競爭情形,D公司開始思考其產業的轉型策略。期望能從面板材料擴展至半導體材料的供應。經分析此一轉型過程實踐了CSOP的轉型架構之各個面向,相關的變革策略作為也於論文中分析整理。

Taiwan is world-famous for its high-tech industry, with TFT-LCD panels and semiconductor products supplied to all over the world. In order to manufacture these high-tech products, it is necessary to use a large amount of specialty chemicals, but the supply of these chemicals was mainly from Japanese and European and American manufacturers in the early stage. If Taiwan's high-tech industry can support local specialty chemical manufacturers and form a complete industrial supply chain, it will effectively enhance the overall national competitiveness. This study takes Company D as the main body of case study. First, through the collection of market information, the characteristics of the specialty chemical materials industry are analyzed, especially two major fields of TFT-LCD and semiconductors materials are discussed in detail. The introduction of specialty chemicals has a long process, complex procedures, patent rights barriers, and high professional requirements, which form an entry barrier for new entrants. In the case study part, we discuss Company D's product portfolio, business model and value proposition. At the same time, it analyzes its development strategy and how to successfully penetrate products into the TFT-LCD material industry. And through the analysis of SWOT, it analyzes the competitive situation of D company's TFT-LCD and semiconductor materials. Recently, due to the intensified competition in the panel industry, Company D began to think about the transformation strategy of its business to expand from panel materials to supply of semiconductor materials. After analyzing this transformation process, all aspects of the transformation structure of CSOP are practiced, and the relevant transformation strategies are also analyzed and summarized in the paper.
